CT for Cardiac Scoring
What is the procedure?
These pictures evaluate and quantify calcified plaque formation inside your coronary arteries. You will have monitor leads placed on your chest and your pulse rate recorded. You will need to hold your breath during the scan time.
How much time is involved?
20 minutes. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment.
Am I allowed to eat or drink before this exam?
Please do not eat or drink for three (3) hours prior to the scheduled time of your exam. You may take you medication.
Please let us know if you are allergic to contrast material or if you may be pregnant. Your exam will be interpreted promptly and the results sent directly to your doctor. |
