Abdominal Ultrasound

What is the procedure?
This exam studies the liver, spleen, pancreas, kidney, gallbladder and aorta. No ionizing radiation is transmitted during the examination.

How much time is involved?
30 minutes. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment.

Am I allowed to eat or drink before this exam?
Do not eat or drink after midnight if your exam is scheduled in the morning. Do not eat or drink eight (8) hours prior to an afternoon appointment.
