Gallbladder Ultrasound

What is the procedure?
This exam studies your gallbladder and may include portions of your liver and right kidney and pancreas. No ionizing radiation is transmitted during the examination.

How much time is involved?
30 minutes. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment.

Am I allowed to eat or drink before this exam?
Do not eat or drink after midnight if your exam is scheduled in the morning. Do not eat or drink eight (8) hours prior to an afternoon appointment.
